Abstract

|
One case of the so-called syndrome of pseudo-pseudo hypoparathyroidism(PPHP) is described. A 16-year-old school girl was admitted to the Hospital because of obesity. She had another abnormal findings such as short stature, round face, shortened metacarpal and metacarpal bones, thickened calvarium and mental retardation, but had normal parathyroid function. She had normal chromosome in number, size and shape. The patient fulfills the criteria for the diagnosis of PPHP even though this syndrome is a very rare one.
